HD Squared Architects, LLC (HD2) is a small architectural practice specializing in renovations, additions, interiors, and historic preservation.  The firm was started by Melanie Hartwig-Davis, AIA,  LEED AP in 1999.  The office is located in Cheverly, Maryland and serves the larger DC Metro area.   The firm maintains its small numbers while concentrating on talent for successful projects.  As different jobs arise, HD2 works with a  team of consultants to specifically service the clients.   These consultants include structural engineers, interior designers, interns and other architectural specialists as needed.
